Race To Nowhere Coming to Burlington!

Burlington Public Schools in partnership with Wilmington Public Schools will host a screening of the documentary film, Race to Nowhere on Thursday, April 28th at 7:00 pm in the Burlington High School auditorium. This film looks at today’s challenges through the student’s perspective and is an excellent film. The advance ticket price is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for students and can be reserved at http://rtnburlingtonhigh-auto.eventbrite.com/

I recently attended a viewing of Race to Nowhere hosted through Reading Public Schools, and I will be attending the viewing in Burlington too. The film highlights students and the demands students feel from school, home, and extracurricular activities. Some student stories are sad; many are thoughtful, and reflective about their youth and their reality. However all stories inspired me to step back, rethink and never lose sight of the importance of really listening to children. I hope you will be able to view this screening of Race to Nowhere in Burlington, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts and reflections about this moving and memorable film.

  1. Hi Mrs. Johnson, is this film appropriate for viewing by elementary and middle school children? Wondering if I should bring my daughters with me.
