On May 26, 2011 Fox Hill School welcomed some very special guests into classrooms to celebrate reading and community. 27 members of the Burlington community took time out of their busy work schedules to support Fox Hill students and reading. Organized by our PTO president, Kristin Russo, community members were sent invitations inviting them to select a favorite or special children’s book to read to Fox Hill students at Fox Hill School. Community members represented a wide variety of professions including local government, local town departments, local medical agencies and local business men and women. Our students were so excited to listen to our visitors read and each community member communicated value and a love of reading as well as a deeper understanding for community members’ roles in Burlington. Everyone had a great time and lots of fun!
