Fox Hill School held its final assembly, Confidence to Take Action, on May 31, 2011. This final assembly completed the four conditions that make a difference selected for the 2010-2011 school year. Students were given a survey asking them to share their ideas about what they liked about Fox Hill School and what they would suggest for improvements and the steps they would like to take to make those improvements a reality. Results of that survey are shared with you in the form of a visual display using the website; Wordle. Students were also asked to write a short paragraph describing a successful experience they had this year and to develop a classroom goal and a plan to increase the likelihood for achieving their goal. Students blossomed in this activity and several themes emerged as a result of this topic. Fox Hill students took action to improve the environment, their health and wellness and their social relationships. They did this with respect, thought and care for others and for themselves. I am so proud of who they are as students and the confidence they possessed to take action to make a positive difference at Fox Hill School.
