Election Day 2012

On Thursday, November 1st, Fox Hill students participated in a nationwide mock election sponsored by Studies Weekly for President of the United States. Students participated in lively and engaging classroom discussions that supported student’s understanding of the our country’s heritage and the freedom of choice through voting.  On “election day,” students went to the polls in our computer lab, cast their vote and results were shared at the end of the day.  Elementary students nationwide elected Barack Obama as the next President of the United States by an overwhelming margin.  If you are interested in seeing how our children voted nationwide go to www.studiesweekly.com and click on results!

On November 6, 2012 we wish both candidates our very best for what will be a very exciting day in history!  I am happy that  our students had a chance to participate in this moment of history too.
