It is time to begin the process for creating new class lists for the 2017-2018 school year. Creating new class lists is a complex, thoughtful and cooperative process that involves a variety of components and perspectives. Teachers, guidance, reading and special education staff assist the principal in developing class lists for the new school year. The placement process is dependent upon factors that work to ensure classrooms work cohesively. Factors that influence the placement process include:

- Academic Strengths/Needs
- Organizational/Study Habits
- Peer Relations
- Social Strengths/Needs
- Emotional Strengths/Needs
- Class Size
Parents are part of the placement process and we want to provide you with an opportunity to share your perspective regarding your child’s academic, social and emotional strengths and needs. I invite you to complete the Student Information Form. Please return this student information form to Fox Hill School by Thursday, April 13, 2017.
Please understand a parental request for a specific teacher is not a viable consideration for student placement. Final placement decisions are the responsibility of the principal and all placement decisions are considered final. After I review each Student Information Form, the instructional staff and I will collaborate to place your child in a cohesive and balanced classroom that best meets their instructional, social and emotional needs to maximize their learning.
